Old Settlers Reunion Scholarships

Every spring, the Wood County Old Settlers Association chooses two high school seniors from across Wood County to receive a $1000 scholarship. Whether the student is going to a university or a trade school, we would encourage all seniors to apply. Applications will be posted here in the Spring, with winners announced in May. 

The recipients of this year's Wood County Old Settlers Reunion Scholarships were Miss Bayley Williams from Winnsboro High School and Miss Gabby Chaney from Quitman High School. Bayley dreams of becoming a registered nurse and possibly seek out a career path in cardiology. Gabby aspires to be an orthodontist one day and move back to Wood County to open her own office. We can't wait to see what these young ladies accomplish! Good luck!
