# Old Settlers Reunion

> A group of farmers and settlers got together back in 1898 and decided to host an end-of-harvest celebration. This celebration grew into what we now call the Wood County Old Settlers Reunion. Settlers from all across Wood County converge upon Jim Hogg City Park in Quitman, Texas each year to listen to enjoy live entertainment and support local artisans. This year will mark the first year that the event will be held at the end of October instead of during the heat of August.
